You can have a lot of fun when partaking in the nightlife that is so much a part of the Louisiana experience. There are plenty of clubs to check out and people to meet. But you should also be aware that if you are not careful, you may find yourself in trouble.

When you are out and having a good time, it is very easy to cross paths with someone with whom you just don’t get along. The best thing you can do when this happens may be to simply get away from that person as soon as you can. But sometimes, in the heat of the moment, it is possible to react to a conflict in a way that escalates the situation to a dangerous and perhaps criminal level.

New Orleans police report that a barroom confrontation between two women turned physically violent. NOPD say that during the argument, one of the women picked up a bottle and broke it. The woman then attempted to use the bottle to stab the woman with whom she was arguing. A swing of the bottle resulted in the cutting of a third woman.

As of the time of the report, the woman who allegedly used the bottle as a weapon was being sought by the police. She is facing charges for aggravated battery by cutting.

Such unfortunate incidents can lead to arrests and criminal convictions. One bad moment can cause problems for years. Therefore, if you find yourself facing the possibility of arrest and eventual conviction for charges related to a physical altercation, you may wish to get in touch with a Louisiana criminal defense attorney. It is possible that the attorney could advise you on your various options and represent your interests throughout the legal process.
